K2R Scholar Program All About Funding Series

Background
One of our career development preparatory programs, All About Funding (AAF), is open to K2R-Scholar Program (KSP) trainees and new FIRST faculty. While the KSP is a joint venture supported by and open to emerging scholars at the University of Florida (UF) and Florida State University (FSU) under the auspices of these institutions’ collaborative Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the FIRST faculty are all housed in FSU. The AAF annual training program consists of 8 modules that are implemented monthly beginning in August and concluding in April with no sessions held over the summer term. Each module is delivered face-to-face on the FSU campus and lasts about 1.5 hours with 45-60 minutes dedicated to didactic lecture and the remaining time allocated for discussion, questions, and exploration of priority topics. Faculty contacts for this program are: Dr. Sylvie Naar, Distinguished and Endowed Professor, College of Medicine and Dr. Henna Budhwani, Professor, College of Nursing. The administrative contact for trainees is Jenn Gerson, CTSA Project Manager, College of Medicine. Jenn can be reached via email at jennifer.gerson@med.fsu.edu.
