K2R Scholar Program All About Funding (AAF) Series

Background
One of our career development preparatory programs, All About Funding (AAF), that provides K2R Scholars Program trainees with an in-depth overview on the NIH grant process from our K2R Director, Dr. Henna Budhwani.

This series is open to all K2R Scholars Program trainees, including Assistant Professors, Research Faculty, and new FIRST faculty. While the KSP is a joint venture supported by and open to emerging scholars at the University of Florida (UF) and Florida State University (FSU) under the auspices of these institutions’ collaborative Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the FIRST faculty are all housed in FSU.

About AAF Series

The AAF training program consists of 8 modules implemented monthly, beginning in September and ending in April. There are no sessions held over the summer term. Each module is delivered virtually and lasts about one hour. The modules build off on one another, starting with a overview on the foundations of the NIH and going in-depth on each step of the grant application process. Because of this, scholars are not allowed to join the program mid-year. They will have to wait until the next academic year to register.
