BIRD: Health Data Access

National COVID Cohort Collaborative using N3C Data Enclave

The N3C Data Enclave is a secure platform through which the harmonized clinical data provided by our contributing members is stored. The data itself can only be accessed through a secure cloud portal hosted by NCATS and cannot be downloaded or removed. N3C invites you to begin your journey with the Enclave and join the collaborative efforts of our partners to better understand and address the most pressing COVID-19 clinical questions.

Follow https://covid.cd2h.org/ and check out the support tab.  There are trainings and tutorials that are available.  There are also workstreams that you can join to learn more about how others are using the enclaves tools etc.  Solid community to help you and others engage with the data and tools.

NIH All of Us Research Program

The All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to collect and study data from one million or more people living in the United States. The goal of the program is better health for all of us. The program began national enrollment in 2018 and is expected to last at least 10 years. it collects health data from a million people across the U.S. to help build one of the most diverse health databases in history. Researchers will use the data to learn how our biology, lifestyle, and environment affect health. This could help them develop better treatments and ways to prevent different diseases.

All the researchers in FSU are now able to apply for Researcher Workbench access. Register as a researcher by creating an account at (https://workbench.researchallofus.org/login). You will receive an email with further instructions once you have completed your researcher profile.  In addition to creating a workbench account, all researchers must have an existing eRA Commons account before they can access the Workbench and registered tier data.

If you are a researcher who does not have an eRA Commons account, please work with FSU Sponsored Research Administration (https://www.research.fsu.edu/research-offices/sra/era/) to set one up. After this is established, you may proceed with your application to the Workbench. For more information about eRA Commons, please visit https://era.nih.gov/.
